SnackTAYku: Jack's Stacked Grilled Cheese Burger Munchie Meal

For those of you who don't have a Jack in the Box nearby, it's a fast food chain, serving burgers, chicken sandwiches (and nuggets), fried tacos, fries, and jalapeno poppers among other choices. They recently unveiled Jack's Munchie Meal box sets, available after 9pm.

Here's one of their commercials:

And here is a link to the menu showing the choices available, and the fixed up pictures of the food (for comparison to my pictures of the actual food I got).

Since I had an after work thing to go to, I was able to stop at one on the way home (with a slight detour) after 9pm and get one.

The box looks similar to the $5 box from Taco Bell.

Each munchie meal includes a mix of regular and curly fries, and two tacos in addition to the "main item" of your choice. I went with the Stacked Grilled Cheese Burger - a sourdough burger with the top "bun" comprised of a grilled cheese sandwich.

As I've mentioned before, I'm not a picky eater. This also wasn't my first trip to Jack in the Box, and it won't be my last. Which is to say, I really liked it. The burger was good. I've had the Grilled Cheese Burger at Friendly's (in Maine) which has each "bun" made of grilled cheese sandwiches, but having only the top bun made of a grilled cheese worked too. The cheese in the top bun was nicely melted, and tasted good with the burger. I'm a fan of their tacos, and they were as good as usual. The mix of regular and curly fries was also good.

Not quite as nice looking as the picture, but not too bad. If you like fast food, and a good deal (this was all $6 and included a drink), and can get to a Jack in the Box after 9pm, swing by and get this. And maybe have some oatmeal for breakfast the next morning, and go for a walk/run.
